Fragile
If trees be all willows, sighing empty frown./
Each branch reaches to heaven, soft leaves do drown./
Sturdy stout, deep reaching to soft earth./
No wind moves will of wood from its birth./
Lay rain upon heavens, sprinkle dust from above./
Prism crystals drop softly, hush like true love./
Fragile is the tree not from outside cries./
Within gentle embrace, nature’s weakness lies./
With once a soft shadow glanced close to my heart./
Laughing as aching cheeks with smiling start./
As time flew quickly, and words deepened through./
Care and lovingness inside did slowly grew./
Of pain and joy we both did share in places kept,/
Lingering eyes, waken, breath deepens in depth./
Away I did feel to move from your heart,/
Afraid in my own, emptiness stopped me to start./
But deep inside, shadow dwells naked in flow./
Feelings to trust, building strength, moves heart to go./
Steps towards your shadow soft in front of my eyes,/
Haziness blight, lifted up, injured hands no more cries./
Reality soon, my grip on past hurts and sorrow,/
Loosens swift, freedom last, comes tomorrow./
To wake from this spell kept me in my torment’s lay,/
Was to know my heart yearns like yours each day./
As meadows ripe with full bloom blossom color,/
Has my mind been set still, heart for no other./
When breeze blows strongly, in ways toward our stands./
Closer in touch we moved, each taking our hands./
Warm embrace, gaze upon valley beneath risen soul,/
Dream lost in today’s brightness, love we have stole./
Fragile was your love I have known long and so true./
One in the same, still my heart fragile, following you./
